Margo, Ava & Sarah on the water taxi across the lake
Last weekend our friends Mike & Margo from Tangletown (our old Mpls neighborhood) included a stop in Geneva during their 40th birthday trip to Europe.  It was to fun to see familiar faces and introduce them to our new town.  We were especially grateful for a delivery of Crest toothpaste, brown sugar, and taco seasoning.  We spent time in the heart of Geneva where we tried our first water taxi ride, saw roller-skating break-dancers (doing a routine to Prince music) and enjoyed afternoon coffee outside.  The next day we stopped at a patisserie (bakery) so they could try our favorite pain au chocolat (like a chocolate croissant), then spent the afternoon in France at Le Saleve, a mountain just outside Geneva.  We rode a cable car to the top, enjoyed a picnic lunch, and watched parachuters run off the cliff.  The view was amazing, and the sunny, summer weather a real treat.  Thanks to Margo & Mike for making the effort.
